What first comes to your mind when you hear the name Porsche? Performance? Tradition? Innovation? The truth is all of those define the Porsche Principal. Porsche has been developing and manufacturing high-performance machines for over 70 years now, but times are changing. The Porsche Taycan IS coming, and this is what you need to know. It all started back in 2015, with the introduction of the Mission-E, and AWD, all-electric, four door Porsche. Far from what most think of when they hear the name Porsche. What is very Porsche, is the power. Over 600 hp will be delivered out of the 800-Volt battery pack, which sits on the floor to keep that center of gravity as low as possible. There will be very little range anxiety as well, as the range is estimated to be around 500 kms on a full charge, and with Stage-3 Fast chargers applied, that means nearly 100 kms of range in just 4 minutes. Porsche has been developing this car for nearly 5 years. That’s a long time for the development of a car, especially when we don’t know what it properly looks like. We know it will be available in colours such as Miami Blue and Lava Orange, and that there will be different trim levels of the Taycan for the Canadian market, including a Taycan 4S, Taycan Turbo and Taycan Turbo S. Porsche has been making sure that everything is absolutely perfect with this car before we catch a glimpse of it. And what’s more Porsche than that?
